The Beach is the best place on Earth

I don't remember missing Summer and the Beach this much, but I realised it is because I have been in a different country every other Winter. This year I stayed put and worked, and saved no money. This is the reason I feel travelling is so viable, if I'm not travelling, then I'm spending ALL the money I make at home anyway, so why not spend it overseas.

We have got it good in Sydney, we barely had a Winter and here Spring comes rolling in again. With the exclusion of the extreme hay fever I will be suffering from, as long as the sun is out I am happy. Today I decided the Beach is the best place on Earth - well out of the places I have been to at least. I know there are crazily beautiful and unbelievable natural wonders in this world, and if I located myself then and there I could possibly say the same. But the beach is a part of my life, I have a relationship with it haha. It lets me dump all my problems onto it - not that I have any. It never fails to put a smile on my face. I come out feeling alive, refreshed, replenished with plenty of vitamin D and naturally exfoliated. The list goes on, what more could you ask for? To me, a dip in the ocean washes away all those unwanted thoughts for just that moment; a moment long enough to put a smile on my face.

Breakfast also makes me happy - I am easy to please. 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day' and I agree with that. Oats are winning in my books as of late, accompanied with almond milk, chia seeds, blueberries, strawberries & sometimes bananas. Here's my photo diary for the day :)

Tamarama & Frankie

p.s. don't worry I didn't wear air max's to the beach, I took them out to play for the first time this morning, so I thought they deserved a few photo mentions. They're so beautiful and green.

Why not?

I created this blog because I am a terrible writer, but I love to write.

Most information, thoughts, things, whatever you want to call it are stored through technology nowadays. I could document my thoughts and experiences on paper in a diary, but nobody likes the sound of a 'diary' - kidding, I have one. However, this will allow me to share the world through my eyes, through my no particular angle photos and my shitty editing. I'm pretty much sharing them with myself, for now... until someone I know comes across this blog. Who knows, this may be the only entry I post. I like this because no one I know is reading this, and if they are, I don't know them.

I've recently developed a serious addiction to all things sweet. Anything with sugar in it I will devour in seconds, but everything has sugar in it - you know what I mean. I have started replacing my meals with dessert, mostly chocolate. This is extremely unhealthy and I am aware of that, hopefully the arrival of Summer will change up my habits.

Today I had a Magnum for lunch from the newly opened Magnum Pleasure Store in Sydney Westfield. My toppings included coconut flakes, vanilla crumble, rose petals and a drizzle of milk chocolate. It was the best lunch there ever was. There wasn't even a line, so you better get in there quick.

My excessive ice cream consumption of late took me back to Tokyo, where I was so distracted and fascinated by the city that I barely took any pictures. But of course the one photo I did take was of the ice cream vending machine. This is possibly one of the best inventions I've ever seen. Sadly I did not try every flavour, I'm not worried though because I will definitely return to Tokyo in the future to conquer all its sweets.
