Summer is back

Summer is back and so am I!

Thought I would blog the rest of my summer because the past few weeks have been absolutely delightful.

Working weekends and having week days off has its down sides, but not when you have the entire bushwalking track and beach to yourself. I've recently developed an obsession for the Royal National Park and it's numerous bush tracks available. Although it is an hour drive down south, it is completely worth it. I know the Wedding Cake Rock is all over instagram but it truly is incredible and really makes you wonder about nature. This walk began from the town of Bundeena, you may continue it further south but unfortunately we only had enough time to visit the rock and return back. I won't lie we did play tourists and have a little photoshoot. Australia is truly incredible, we are of few countries where bush meets the ocean.

The second walk I ventured on started at Carawarra Farm carpark. Not knowing where you are or where you are going for once is such a great feeling; gives you a sense of adventure. You forget how much today's society has become dependent on their phones and technology to navigate and locate ourselves. This walk was more of a bushbash as we had no idea what we were looking for and where we were going. So we decided bush bashing down the hill was the best method to finding these rock pools. Instead we met a cliff and watched the large waves crash on the rocky shore - bit of a teaser as the weather was clearing up and the temperature was rising. It's okay though, in the end we lead everyone but ourselves to the figure 8 pools. It was very high tide and a huge wave crashed over us, so we automatically returned to the beach without seeing the pools. We shall come back when it is low tide, and knowing where to go. These pools are all over instagram as well, what do you know.
